Location and Lineup

The United Ebony Society of Gwinnett County, Inc. will host the 21st Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration on Monday, January 15th 2024 in Lawrenceville, GA.

The parade will commence at

The United Ebony Society’s goal is to reach out to the community and make this an inclusive event which truly symbolizes the vision of Dr. King. We look forward to your presence as well as your participation. Please bring your signs/banners representing your organizations or groups.

Parking includes GJAC Parking Deck, One Justice Square, First United Methodist Church, DFCS, Lawrenceville Lawn, City Hall, and Central Gwinnett HS

Vehicles and Motorcycles

Vehicles and motorcycles that will participate in the parade must arrive by 10:30a.m. Please note due to construction at the Justice Center all vehicles must enter Langley Drive from Nash Street, which runs directly behind the Justice Center. Enter Langley Street from Lawrenceville Hwy 29. Turn Right onto Constitution Blvd. Turn Left onto Nash Street. Turn Left again onto Langley Drive. Persons will be onsite to direct you.

  • Distance of parade route is approximately 2 miles.
  • Please make sure participants are dressed warmly especially children.
  • Parade ushers will be assigned to ensure that groups are in correct line-up positions.
  • Chaperones should be on the side or behind their group. This will ensure the uniformed presentation of the group.
  • Groups must stay out of the center lanes.
  • Parade participants with vehicles must indicate this information during the online registration. If your group has not provided this information, you must re-register your group to include this information.
  • Spectators should NOT be in the parade.
  • Do not throw candy or other items to spectators.
  • Group leaders/chaperones must remain at Central Gwinnett High School until all your minor group members are with the responsible adults.
